In the spring, three sessions will be offered: March 25, April 29 and May 20. All of them will be at 19:00 in the main hall of the Ernest Lluch Cultural Center.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through face-to-face interviews, we will have the opportunity to meet three women scientists working in different areas, led by Ana Galarraga Aiestaran, Elhuyar\u2019s science <strong>communicator: Elisa Sainz de Murieta Zugadi, Miren Basaras Ibarzabal<\/strong> and <strong>Mirene Begiriain Zubillaga.<\/strong><br\/>The goal is to get to know women scientists. Indeed, women &amp;apos; s contributions to the history of science and technology have been hidden, and discrimination against women in this area is still evident today.<\/p>\n\n<p><br\/><strong>The Spring Colloquium Cycle 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><br\/>The first session will be on March 25. The speaker will be <strong>Elisa Sainz de Murieta Zugadi,<\/strong> with the title of the colloquium: \u201cThe climate emergency from a socio-economic perspective\u201d.<br\/>Elisa Saenz de Murieta Zugadi (Bilbao, 1977) is a geologist who began her research career in 2010 at the climate change research centre BC3, where she completed her doctoral thesis. He is currently a researcher at BC3 and the University of the Basque Country (UPV\/EHU), particularly in charge of studying the effects of climate change and adaptation measures from a socio-economic perspective.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Miren Basaras Ibarzabal will<\/strong> be the protagonist of the second colloquium. The colloquium, which will take place on April 29, will be entitled: \u201cOur health is linked to the health of the planet.\u201d <br\/>Miren Basaras Ibarzabal (Bilbao, 1968) is a PhD microbiologist with a long career at the UPV as a teacher and researcher. He is also known for his work in the social integration of science, for which he has received several awards, including the CAF-Elhuyar Merit Award. She is currently researching the microbiota, especially related to sexually transmitted infections.<\/p>\n\n<p>The third speaker will be the <strong>economist Mirene Begiristain<\/strong> Zubillaga, who will act on May 20. Title of the colloquium: \u201cFood sovereignty from agroecology and feminism\u201d. <br\/>Mirene Begristain Zubillaga (Andoain, 1972) holds a PhD in Economics and a Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UPV\/EHU. In particular, she researches agriculture and food systems from the perspectives of agroecology and feminism. He participates in different experiences and collective processes in the Basque Country with the objective of food sovereignty. <\/p>\n\n<p>The three sessions will be in Basque at <strong>19:00 in the main hall of the Ernest Lluch Cultural Center.<\/strong> <br\/>The audios of the talks can be heard on <a href=\"https:\/\/irratia.donostiakultura.eus\/es\/\">the podcasts of San Sebastian Culture\u2019s DK<\/a> Radio <a href=\"https:\/\/zientzia.eus\/zientzia-irratia\/iturria\/emakume-zientzialarien-argitan\/\">and on the podcast of<\/a> Elhuyar \u201cIn the light of women scientists\u201d.
